Post Partum Doulas in San Diego CountyWhat is a Post Partum Doula?Basically a post partum doula is a person who knows how to help you right after the baby is born. A PP Doula will do light housekeeping, help with the other children and teach you how to care for your baby. She will also provide breastfeeding support and help you get some rest by watching the baby. PP Doulas are extremely valuable for those of us who have multiples as well. Many of them in the San Diego area have extensive expereince with multiples and they can teach parents some additional organizational tricks to make the first few months a little easier. Some PP Doulas are great at helping babies to learn to sleep well during naps or though the night if they weigh enough or are old enough to do so.
